SolarClaim is operated by The Trustee for Broad and Co. Family Trust (ABN 89 687 217 914), trading as Bantam, in Queensland, Australia. This policy explains what we collect when you use the rebate calculator and what we do with it.
We use your email address to send the estimate summary or checklist you asked for, and occasional follow-up information about Australian battery rebate schemes. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from all further contact.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your details with solar installers, retailers or registered agents unless you explicitly ask us to put you in touch with one, in which case we will tell you who receives your details before we send them.
Submitted details are stored in an access-controlled database hosted in Australia (Sydney region) and are accessible only to SolarClaim operators. Email delivery is handled by a third-party email service provider. We keep submitted records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our record-keeping obligations, and delete them on request.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the calculator, for example which pages are visited and which state estimates are run. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes data on Google's servers, which may be outside Australia. We use it in aggregate, to measure traffic, and we do not use it to identify you personally.
The calculator itself works without cookies. Your inputs are processed in your browser and are not stored unless you choose to submit your email address. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser, and the calculator will still work normally.
We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this site.
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email greg@bantam.app and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
